Privacy
Egg Your Boss is designed to need as little personal information as possible.
What stays on your device
During normal play, your original photo and cropped target remain in your browser. Cropping removes the original file metadata, and target images are never included in public leaderboard records.
What we store
- Your chosen nickname or initials, score statistics, game version and the UTC time of the round.
- A one-way anonymous rate-limit key derived from request information. We do not store raw IP addresses.
- Reports you voluntarily submit and an email address only if you provide one.
Optional hosted images
If a future sharing flow asks you to upload a target, it will require separate explicit consent. The cropped output—not the original—is kept in private Vercel Blob storage under a random key and scheduled for deletion after 24 hours. It is never attached to your leaderboard record or returned as a public URL.
Deletion and reports
Use the Report Content form for hosted images or deletion requests. Include the image ID when available. Local-only images disappear when you leave or reload the game.
Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics records page visits and limited product events such as a game starting. Game events may include non-sensitive round settings such as game version, duration and egg count. Analytics never receives target images, target names, player nicknames or arcade initials.
